Dr. Marr graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed a medical internship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. After two years in the U.S. Army 8th Special Forces Group, he enjoyed a twenty-year academic medical career and held positions as Professor of Medicine, Biochemistry, and Microbiology. He then entered into executive management of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and was CEO of a publicly listed company. Thereafter, he was a General Partner with an international venture capital firm. Dr.Marr now is retired and devotes time to family, volunteer work in the community, and writing about medicine, personal health and fitness, health care, and issues that affect our grandchildren.
